AppReviewer

Your app is live. Find out what real users run into.

Other indie developers walk through your published app on their own phones and tell you in writing where onboarding confuses, what crashes and what feels slow. You do the same for theirs. Your first feedback is free.

No store reviews are traded. Feedback stays private between you and your testers.

12 testers 14 days
Rolling out an update? Open a test group of up to 12 developers and follow the 14 days as they pass.

From live app to usable findings in three steps

  1. List your live app

Add your Google Play or App Store link and say which flow testers should walk through, such as sign-up or checkout.

  2. Test other apps

Take a task, follow its steps and write what you found. For every feedback the owner accepts you earn 1 credit.

  3. Read the findings

Spend credits on feedback tasks and read what testers found, with device and OS version. Accept the findings that help you.

What good feedback looks like

Onboarding: after step 2 I could not tell whether my reminder was saved. The button stays active, nothing confirms it. I tapped it three times and got three reminders. A short confirmation and a disabled state would fix it.
Example: finding on a habit tracker, Android 14, Pixel 7

Specific, reproducible, with a suggestion. Private to the app owner, not a store review.

Feedback from people who build apps themselves

Tasks with steps, not just installs

Tell testers what to try: onboarding, checkout, offline mode. They answer with findings of at least 50 characters, never one-word praise.

Test groups for updates

Roll a new version out to a group of developers first. A group tracks 12 testers over 14 days, and only you see their Google account emails.

One feedback for one feedback

Write a feedback and you earn one credit. Spend one credit to receive a feedback on your own app. The credit stays in escrow until you accept the result.

A community in your language

The interface and every error message are available in English and German today. More languages are added as simple text files.

Credits pay for feedback, not store reviews

Trading ratings for rewards breaks the rules of Google Play and the App Store and can get an app removed. AppReviewer rewards useful private feedback instead. A store review stays your tester's own, unpaid decision.

Questions developers ask

Which apps can I list?

Apps that are already published on Google Play or the App Store. Add the store link and describe what testers should check. Test groups are meant for new builds and updates.

How do credits work?

Every account starts with 1 credit, enough for your first feedback. You earn 1 credit for every feedback you write that the owner accepts, and you spend 1 credit to receive one. Tasks that wait longer than two days pay the tester 1.5. With Featured (free, 24 hours) you offer testers 1.25 instead of 1 on your app and pay the same, which attracts testers faster.

Can I buy store reviews or installs here?

No. Credits cannot be spent on ratings or reviews, and nobody is rewarded for posting one.

Which platforms are supported?

Android and iOS apps from one account. Test groups are built around Google Play closed testing.

Is it free?

Yes. You earn credits by testing other apps. Highlighting your app with Featured or Boost is an optional paid extra.
